About

CGM Int.

Our Story

Christ Gospel Mission Int. (CGM) was planted on Sunday 10th August, 1969 in Lagos, Nigeria under the leadership of Rev. Daniel Olagoke Ogunkanmi. The name was given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in prayers, that the new church should focus on the proclamation of the whole counsel of God, the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus, not the tradition, philosophy or ideas of any other individual, with the assurance of confirmation by miraculous signs and wonders.
CGM has since then been committed to enthusiastically sharing God’s Word with people, teaching members to have genuine fellowship with God by understanding God’s word for themselves and developing intimate personal relationship with God. Members are being equipped with the understanding that leads them to live out their faith and boldly apply the Word in all situations of life. They are taught to utilize their talents, spiritual gifts, and resources to fulfill the Great Commission. They joyfully and zealously spread the good news of Jesus Christ wherever they are, penetrating villages, cities, and nations held in bondage to spiritual darkness with the wonder-working power in the name of Jesus, with enduring testimonies.

Mission Statement

Christ Gospel Mission Int. is committed to proclaiming the unadulterated word of God with signs and wonders, planting vibrant churches in all the nations of the world and developing leadership until Jesus Christ comes back.

Our Philosophy

In every newcomer, we see a potential member; in every member, we see a potential worker; in every worker, we see a potential minister.

How we operate

3. We value unity with God and the Church

Showing genuine love as taught in 1 Corinthians 13 to all brethren. Not sowing seeds of discord or division among brethren. Making effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace by participating in networks of evangelical and Pentecostal churches, working together to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all – Ephesians 4:4-6 4.

How we operate

4. We value leadership development

Developing dynamic, visionary, and Spirit-filled leaders who will serve Christ and the church with integrity, skill, and ability to teach others to the point of full understanding Offering customized training programs to help leaders understand the psychological, emotional and mental needs of the diverse people under their leadership Emphasizing the importance of humility, emotional intelligence and empathy in leading, teaching, correcting and encouraging others. – Philippians 2:5-11, Mark 10:45. How we operate

5. We Value Excellence

Glorifying God through our actions, church ministries, services and facilities. Intolerance for excuses, mediocrity, or complacency. Expecting to be corrected in love and motivated to achieve maximum potential in all areas. Bringing advancing ideas and problem solving skills to issues. Doing the right things in line with the Word of God – And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men. Colossians 3:23

How we operate

6. We Value Hospitality

Cultivating the habit of creating a welcoming environment to all, new and old members by smiling, polite communication and warmness.

Joyfully opening our homes and resources to meet the needs of others Refusing to get discouraged when our kind acts are not acknowledged. – Matthew 25: 35, 36, 40 – “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. ’The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
